Lesson: DEFENDING OUR GOD-GIVEN CROWN
Text” Heb. 2:5-9 Memory Verse 2Tim.4:8

Objective:
At the end of the lesson, the audience should be able to see man in a royal position in Christ; see him as the head of heaven on earth; as having all it takes to live as the God of heaven on earth as well as how to defend his God-given position against spiritual Intruders.

Introduction:
Man existed like elect angels in the heavens before his manifestation on earth to hold brief for God on earth. To successfully do this for God, man must think, talk and act like God. To represent the God of heaven on earth is indeed honourable and glorious. This , in other words, is giving man a crown. Everything that is needed for the government of heaven to be established on earth in terms of security, infrastructure and other amenities, Jehovah has provided, all of which will remain under man’s superintendence. Presentation:
Step1: CHRIST HAS PUT MAN IN A ROYAL POSITION
a) By overcoming death for man, Christ has put believers in Him in a royal position. (cf. 1Pet.2:9; Rev. 5:9,10)
b) Believers are earmarked for a crown of righteousness as a consequence. (See memory verse)
c) Any person at a royal position has the status of a king or queen or a member of their family.

Step2: MAN AS THE HEAD OF HEAVEN ON EARTH
a) Just as the Nigerian Ambassador to the United States of America is the head of Nigeria in that country, even so is the Christian person the head of heaven on earth.
b) Heaven’s Embassy on earth is, in other words, called Church or Temple of God. (cr. 1Cor.3:9,16)
i. The Church or Temple hereinafter referred, the Christians are – taken as living stones with which the Embassy’s building is constructed – cf. Heb. 3:4-6; 1Pet.2:4,5.
ii. It is where God’s seat of power situates on earth. (See Eph. 1:17-23; 3:8-11)
Step3:
ALL IS SET FOR THE SMOOTH RUNNING OF HEAVENLY GOVERNMENT ON EARTH
a) Elect angels ascend to give God report and descend to bring man support – cf. Jn. 1:51.
i. That is how they minister as agents to provide what is lacking in God’s government of heaven headed by Christians on earth. (cf. Heb. 1:7,13,14; Rev. 19:9,10; 22:8,9)

Step4:
OUR CROWN IS SUSTAINABLE IN RIGHTEOUSNESS
a) It is issued by the God of Righteousness and is therefore the Crown of Righteousness (see our memory verse)
i. It is no question whether it is a powerful crown coming from an Omnipotent God.
ii. Righteousness exalts a nation as sin reproaches. (cf. Ezek. 5:14)
b) God called us to be holy even as He is holy (see 1Pet.1:14-16; Heb. 12:14; Eph. 5:1-7).
i. See details of fruitful righteousness in ‘Eph. 4:17-32’.

Evaluation
1a. From our text, all is yet to come under man’s feet. What is it that remains?
b. What is the receipt or guarantee that it shall surely be his reading ‘Eph. 1:13,14’?
2. What is the kind of crown believers are given and why can they not get it now?
3. Who are those that work tirelessly to ensure the government of heaven on earth is not interrupted?
4. Where is the seat of power of the government of heaven on earth?
5. Give a brief history of how man emerged the head of God’s government on earth.

Lesson FEATURES OF GOD’S KINGDOM ON EARTH
Text Lk. 8:9-15 Memory Verse Rom. 14:17
Objective To show how the Kingdom is made real from its seed; where it is planted and how it is nourished; by what means and its relevance in our generation.

Introduction
The Kingdom of God as revealed in the Bible is to show God’s beneficial intervention in the affairs of man for his welfare. So, from the extension of God’s government from heaven to earth as revealed in Genesis including the call of Abraham, the promises to him and fulfillment through Christ, is to show how God cannot be separated from His creation.

Presentation
Step1: THE SEED OR BEGINNING OF GOD’S KINGDOM ON EARTH
a) The seed is the word of God only functional in showing or preaching. (See Lk. 8:11; Mark. 4:26)

Step11: THE SOIL IN WHICH IT MUST BE PLANTED
a) It is sown in the soul of men’s hearts. (See Lk. 8:12)
i. The only conduçive place that enhances safe germination and growth is the heart.
ii. The word of God on paper remains letter that killeth (See 2Cor.3:6)

Step111: THE NOURISHMENT
a) The invisible hand of God does the nourishment – cf. Mk. 4:26,27; 1Cor.3:6,7.
b) Notice should be taken here that this kingdom can only bless adherents from the heavenly realm. (cf. Eph. 1:3; Rom. 14:15,17,18)

Step4: ITS RELEVANCE IN OUR GENERATION
a) Its presence is marked in conscious and beneficial service delivery. (cf. Matt. 20:20,21,24-28)
b) The nature or identity of those who have entered is in uninterrupted services delivery not minding, in the first place, who will benefit.

Conclusion
What God made heaven to be, He wanted the earth to be likewise – cf. Matt. 6:10 – and what will enhance such to be actualized effortlessly is His word which is not different from Him in potentiality with which He heads and upholds His creation. That is His government’s constitution for His creation. In the failed regime of the first Adam in the Eden headquarters, this constitution went out from there to all. Howbeit, we thank God for the present and victorious regime of the last Adam (Christ) Who operates from Church, the present headquarters – cf. Eph. 3:10; 1Pet.2:9 – who are the Christians that now have had access to every blessing from the spirit realm.

Evaluation
1. If God sows His will in men’s hearts, where in man does He expect to receive His glory from?
2. Does God flatten His nourishment measures for believers in Him or give variously? Why would He do so?
3. What genuine excuse can a believer give before God as reason for not giving service at any given place or time?
4. “Even if no one benefits from my life, I can still worship my God and receive His good reward.” (True or False) Why?
